Earth Day Clean-up at Garden City Bird Sanctuary

Join your organizer and others as we volunteer to help clean-up of the Garden City Bird Sanctuary! Rob Alvey, who was kind enough to give some of our members tours of the Sanctuary this past fall, has estimated that there are about 350 bags worth of debris collected in the stormwater basin/nature preserve in need of picking up.

We will meet at New Hyde Park Station (where there is parking available) and then walk over to the Garden City Bird Sanctuary to lend a hand. A westbound train arrives at New Hyde Park at 11:34 a.m., and the eastbound arrives at 11:40 a.m.
