The New York City Brunch Group is for people who like to dine in NYC restaurants during the day on weekends. Most of our events are brunches but sometimes we do lunches and dinners. We dine at full-service restaurants that require reservations. So, there will always be a limited number of people who can attend each event. We don't have "mass outings" with hundreds of people. Our purpose is to bring people over 55 to brunches where we can eat and schmooze with no demands on us.  Our interests are different from those of younger people.  This gives us a chance to eat great food and relax with people who actually remember Sinatra and John Wayne.  

The term Brunch was first coined in 1895. Defined as a meal that combines breakfast and lunch, eaten late in the morning or a Sunday meal for "Saturday-night carousers".
